Things to keep in mind when handing over your villas and apartment in Dubai.

1. Let the landlord know.

According to the rental agreement, the landlord should be served with a notice to let know of your exit at least one month in advance. If you are in a hurry to vacate before the expiration of the tenancy period noted in the agreement, you are still liable to pay the entire amount of rent.

2. Maintenance charges.

A rental agreement specifies various maintenance aspects and who is responsible for providing the charge. As a tenant, you are accountable to keep those mentioned facilities in good condition when you leave. And also, you have to provide an equivalent amount as compensation in case of any damages caused by you. Otherwise, the landlord has the right to deduct the amount from the security deposit. Instead of leaving it to the landlord, you can hire a maintenance company for repainting, fixing other damages, etc.

3. Return of security deposit.

Ahead of vacating the property, the return of the security deposit should be discussed with the landlord. Also, the deductions the landlord intends to make should be put across and cleared for avoiding later inconveniences. If the maintenance charge and compensation amount exceed the security deposit, the tenant can request receipts for the expenses the landlord had made.

4. Hire movers and packers.

5. Move-out cleaning.

Cleaning the whole space is a crucial aspect before you move out. Because move-out cleaning is not just being civil and thoughtful, it is also about handing over the property in good condition. Also, rent agreements are inclusive of these cleaning clauses while vacating.
It is convenient to get this cleaning done, once the items are packed and moved from the property. And you can hire a professional cleaning company to give a thorough cleaning for the entire space. Also, it is recommended to give a tour to the landlord to show the condition while you move out after the cleaning of the entire property is done.
